Systems Testing/QA Specialist

Responsibilities

- Collaborate with product managers, owners, and technical teams to develop test strategies and plans.
- Apply manual testing practices to create test scripts, cases, and scenarios.
- Plan and generate test data for each phase.
- Execute QA activities across integration, functional, regression, unit, load, performance, and accessibility testing.
- Organize testing for both front-end and back-end components.
- Communicate test results through reports summarizing completion and defects.
- Implement technical testing strategies, including integration points, interfaces, and non-functional requirements (fail-over, response times, data integrity, security).
- Evaluate results against acceptance criteria to confirm sprint completion.
- Define and measure acceptance criteria for test cases.
- Record defects/issues in Azure DevOps with detailed descriptions, screenshots, and reproduction steps.
- Participate in requirement workshops, sprint reviews, and walkthroughs.
- Work with cross-functional teams to ensure quality throughout the Agile lifecycle.
- Conduct post-release/implementation testing.

Skills

General

- Experience planning, organizing, and implementing testing efforts.
- Knowledge of structured methodologies for application development and maintenance.
- Familiarity with CASE tools, data query tools, automated test tools, and version control systems.
- Experience executing functional, non-functional, and integration tests.
- Support user acceptance testing and UAT activities.
- Create testing strategies, plans, cases, and data for technical and business validation.
- Knowledge of all phases of the SDLC.
- Solid analytical, problem-solving, organizational,



and communication skills.
- Team player with a record of meeting deadlines.
- Knowledge of automated testing tools.

Mandatory
- Knowledge of at least one programming language.
- Experience with information retrieval packages.
- Understanding of testing methods in object-oriented environments.
- Knowledge of Information Management principles.
- Familiarity with AODA regulations and standards.
- Experience coding automated test scripts.
- Experience testing COTS applications.

- Identifying, tracing, isolating, replicating problems; root cause analysis.

- Sprint management and defect lifecycle in Azure DevOps.
- Troubleshooting and prioritizing problems.
