Tailwinds Tutoring is looking for great teachers to join our growing team!

We work with families across Toronto to provide personalized, one on one tutoring in students’ homes. We are looking for teachers who genuinely enjoy working with students and want to make a difference in their learning and confidence.

This is a great chance for OCT certified teachers and teachers currently working toward their OCT certification who are looking for flexible teaching work outside of the traditional classroom.

What you’ll do

- Provide one on one tutoring to students in their homes
- Help students understand challenging concepts, build confidence, and reach their academic goals
- Plan lessons and activities based on each student’s individual needs
- Adapt your teaching style to different students and learning styles
- Help students develop strong study habits, organization, and test taking skills
- Communicate with parents about student progress when needed
- Create a positive and encouraging environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and making mistakes

Who we’re looking for
- OCT certified or currently working toward OCT certification
- A teacher or teacher candidate who genuinely enjoys working with children and teens
- Energetic, personable, and enthusiastic about teaching
- Reliable, organized, and professional




- Comfortable working one on one and adapting to different students
- Available for some evening and/or weekend tutoring
- Able to travel to students’ homes throughout Toronto, particularly around Midtown and North Toronto
- Previous classroom teaching or tutoring experience is an asset

You do not need to be a career tutor. We are especially interested in teachers who want to bring their classroom experience, creativity, and personality into a one on one setting.
