About The Job
Provides diabetes education, supports diabetes management and participates as a member of the interdisciplinary team
Has a strong understanding of adult education principles and change facilitation skills, in addition to excellent working knowledge of diabetes care and management with all types of diabetes – Type 1, Type 2, gestational diabetes, and pediatric diabetes
Enhances quality of life for the patient and family; consults, confers, and collaborates with other health care providers
Demonstrates continuous improvement and evidence based practice in nursing practice
Maintains and advances own clinical competence
Participates on designated hospital committees/teams and approved research projects as assigned
This is a casual opportunity. Casual employees are not guaranteed hours of work and can range from 0-37.5 hours per week on an as‑needed basis.
Shifts of work will be scheduled days, Monday to Friday, rotating from 08:30 to 16:30, 09:30 to 17:30 hours.
