Role
The Inventory Control Analyst is responsible for managing and optimizing the company's inventory levels. They ensure inventory accuracy, analyze inventory data, and provide strategic recommendations to improve operational efficiency and minimize inventory‑related costs.
Responsibilities
Inventory Management:
Monitor and maintain accuracy of inventory levels.
Coordinate inventory valuation activities, cost analysis, inventory movement analysis and inventory adjustments.
Coordinate inventory management activities to ensure compliance with U.S., Canadian and EU export control regulations, laws and sanctions, as well as the Canadian Controlled Goods Program.
Analyze inventory trends and generate detailed reports on inventory performance.
Use analytical tools to forecast future inventory needs and optimize stock levels.
Develop and maintain various ad hoc or regular reports related to inventory management.
Interdepartmental collaboration:
Participate in the training of inventory management teams, ensuring the proper application of procedures and policies.
Continuous Improvement:
Suggest and participate in the implementation of initiatives to improve the efficiency of inventory management processes.
Required Skills
Education: Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, logistics, or a related field.
Experience:
Minimum of 5 years' experience in a similar role, preferably in the manufacturing sector.
Ability to analyze complex data and draw relevant conclusions.
Proficiency in inventory management and data analysis software (e.g., Excel, ERP).
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to collaborate with different teams.
Rigor and accuracy in tracking inventory data.
Special Considerations
Successful candidates must obtain and hold security clearance at the reliability status level, and pass a security assessment for the Controlled Goods Program (CGP).
