Vault Mortgage is a non-bank private mortgage lending company. We have a progressive, friendly work workplace and a culture of growth. We are looking for a hard-working Accounting Officer to join our dynamic team.
This is a hands-onposition and the individual will be exposed to various aspects of a private mortgage lending company. You will be responsible forworking within a dynamic team.
Duties and Responsibilities Reconciling bank statements and general ledgers
Compile and distribute daily management reports
Compliance reportingfor lenders and regulators
Prepare monthly financial statements and consolidated financial statements
Prepare ad hoc reporting as requested by management or investors
Cash receipt entry, accounts payable, accounts receivable and account reconciliations
Internal department queries and problem solving
Calculate monthly loan payments, verify third partycalculationsand resolve any discrepancies
Review borrower loan statements
Other accounting duties that management mayrequire
Skills Knowledge & Experience Relevant university degree or college diploma combined with two years of work experience
Thorough knowledge ofgenerally acceptedaccounting principles, policies and procedures and budgeting methods
Detail orientated, with excellent organizational and follow up skills
Ability to produce and manage daily management reporting requirements




Ability to manage multiple projects,activitiesand tasks simultaneously.
Strong oral and written communication skills
Energetic team player with ability to work independently
Proficient toadvancedin Excel and proficient in Microsoft Word
Knowledge of Netsuite and/or Mortgage Automator is an asset
