We are seeking an
Embedded Systems Software Engineer
to design, develop, test, and validate firmware and embedded software for multi-processor systems. This role requires solid C programming, real-time systems experience, and the ability to troubleshoot complex hardware and software issues in a cooperative workplace.Responsibilities
Design, develop, and test system-level firmwareBuild and maintain embedded applications on system-on-chip platformsOptimize system performance, memory usage, and video data pathsIntegrate image-processing and computer-vision capabilitiesSupport system bring-up, debugging, and customer-reported issuesDevelop tools for engineering teams and customersCreate validation plans and provide technical guidanceRequired Qualifications
Four or more years of embedded software development experienceBachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science,



Electrical Engineering, or equivalent experienceStrong C programming and debugging skillsExperience with real-time operating systemsKnowledge of multithreading, memory management, optimization, and interrupt handlingWorking knowledge of PythonStrong problem-solving and communication skillsAbility to work onsite in Toronto four days per weekCanadian work experience is not required.Preferred Qualifications
Experience with Board Support PackagesKnowledge of I2C, UART, SPI, and EthernetExperience with multi-core or multi-processor systemsAutomotive or safety-critical software development experienceKnowledge of AUTOSARExperience with camera, imaging, or video-processing systemsFamiliarity with encryption, authentication, and secure key storage
