Duties
Create and implement age-appropriate curriculum and learning activitiesFoster a positive and nurturing learning environmentDocument observations and complete pedagogical narrationsProvide individualized guidance to support each child's needsMonitor and assess each child's development and progressCollaborate with families, colleagues and communicate regularly about children's progress.Excellent spoken and written English language a mustMaintain a clean, safe, and organized classroom environmentRequirements




License to practice as an Infant and Toddler Educator (ITE)Valid First Aid/CPRFood Safe (Basic - Level 1)Clear Criminal Record Check from the Ministry of Justice2-3 positive professional referencesExperience working with children in an educational settingKnowledge of the Reggio Emilia Approach and open-ended play based learningFamiliar with BC's Early Learning Framework, ECEBC's Code of Ethics, and ECPNStrong communication skills, both verbal and writtenAbility to effectively manage a classroom of young childrenKnowledgeable about children's nutritional needs to educate about our Nutrition ProgramPerks
