Northern Gateway Public Schools invites applications for full time Education Assistant positions at Pat Hardy Elementary School, Whitecourt, Alberta.

Successful candidate responsibilities:
Provide support to students in an inclusive setting
Nurture all students with love, kindness and a commitment to supporting their maximum growth and potential

Preference will be given to candidates who:
have experience, patience and compassion in supporting children with complex needs requiring academic, social-emotional and/or behavioural help in the classroom.
have an understanding of the teaching/learning process
are committed to learn and improve personal skills to meet student needs
are passionate and committed to helping children achieve their full potential
are able to proactively respond to groups of students in a classroom setting




are flexible and able to adapt to changes in their work workplace
contribute to a positive team setting
have a Teacher Assistant Diploma or Early Childhood Development Certificate

Start Date:
August 25, 2026

Hours:
Full time (30 hours/week) - some flexibility in time may be considered, including part time

Wage Rate:
$20.44/hour - $29.65/hour depending on qualifications and experience
