Dataco Utility Services: offers an prospect for three service-oriented individual who will be involved in providing service in the city of Red Deer in the province of Alberta. You will read electric and water meters in a variety of conditions and in accordance with policy and procedures. You will read interpret and apply information obtained from maps schedules and reports. You will be required for occasional out of town work throughout the province of Alberta.

Minimum Requirements: Physically active individual that can walk for up to 8 hours at one time. Comfortable working outdoors in a variety of temperatures and weather conditions.

- Strong interpersonal skills & tact in dealing with the public and staff at all levels.
- Flexibility & sound judgment.
- Ability to adjust priorities under heavy workloads to meet deadlines.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Ability to learn, retain and apply new concepts and information.
- Organizational skills are a must.
- Be at least 18 years of age and possess a valid Alberta Class 5 Operator's License.
- Ability to work independently with a minimum of supervision.




- Preference given to those possessing directly related experience.

TECHNICAL: Intermediate keyboarding skills; experience with PC applications. High degree of accuracy; and attention to detail.

CONDITION OF EMPLOYMENT

- Prior to employment, you must supply a current driver’s abstract (within the last 3 months) from all jurisdictions for which you have been a licensed driver in the last 2 years. You must have no more than 6 demerits, no current suspensions and no charges pending.
- Prior to employment you must supply a criminal background check.
- Prior to employment you must provide negative results on a drug and alcohol test (including THC). All employees are expected to be fit for duty, free from effects of alcohol and drugs.

COMPENSATION: $23.92 per hour + 4% in lieu of vacation. Vehicle and cell phone reimbursement.

HOURS OF WORK:

8:00 am to 4:00 pm Monday-Friday. Expected hours are 8-30 hours per week, with hours slowley reducing there after, subject to change. Start date ASAP. A temp employee maybe employed up to 6 months.

Pay: $23.92-$25.28 per hour
