Providence Centre is a not-for-profit, licensed supportive living and accredited long-term care facility located on a 25‑acre campus with landscaped grounds, a chapel, and an oratory. Overview:
Providence Centre is seeking a Temporary Full-Time Night Shift LPN to provide resident-centered nursing care under the direction of the Nurse Care Manager. The role supports a person-focused, interdisciplinary approach in a long-term care setting.
Job Status: Temporary Full‑Time (maternity leave coverage, or until the return of the incumbent)
Job Availability: Immediately
Hours of Work: 7.75 hours per shift, nights, including alternate weekends
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver safe, ethical,
resident and family-centered nursing care using the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation)
- Administer medications and monitor therapeutic effects
- Provide treatments, ADL support, and mealtime assistance as needed
- Assess and update resident care plans; participate in care conferences and team meetings
- Supervise and delegate tasks to Health Care Aides (HCAs)
- Document care and complete incident reports per policy and regulatory standards
- Promote resident autonomy, choice, and a home-like environment
- Communicate effectively with the RN/nurse manager regarding resident status and care issues
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Current LPN registration in positive standing (CLPNA)
- LPN certificate from an accredited program
- CPR certification required
- Min. 1 year continuing care experience preferred
- WHMIS, first aid, and mask fitting an asset
- Clear criminal record & vulnerable sector check
- Immunization and TB testing required
- Eligible to work in Canada
