Empower students as a Term Instructor in Indigenous Human Services at NVIT starting September 2026. Teach essential courses and support learners' growth in a hybrid model. NVIT is seeking qualified Term Instructors to deliver courses within the Indigenous Human Services Program.
Ideal candidates should possess a Master of Social Work Degree and have experience teaching post-secondary courses, particularly with Aboriginal adult learners. You will engage students in interactive learning that prepares them for careers in non-profit agencies and Indigenous communities. Key Responsibilities:
- Teach IHMS 110, IHMS 120, and IHMS 130 courses
- Utilize hybrid teaching model, both face-to-face and online
- Foster a positive classroom workplace
- Adapt teaching methods to meet diverse learner needs
- Contribute to the overall life of NVIT's community Requirements:
- Master of Social Work Degree (MSW) is required
- Experience in post-secondary education
- Knowledge of Moodle, Teams, and Outlook
- Strong interpersonal and teaching skills
- Understanding of Indigenous knowledge systems Drive impactful learning experiences through innovative teaching in Indigenous Human Services at NVIT.
