The Global Village Test Centre is an official IDP IELTS Test Centre and an official CELPIP Test Centre.

The test centre is well-established on the city and has been serving test takers since 2005. Our centre staff is committed to customer service, and providing the best possible conditions for test takers to do well on their test.

We are hiring for Test Day Staff, including Test Day Supervisors and Invigilators, both for our CELPIP and IELTS Tests.

Description

The Test Day Staff ensures the overall delivery of testing processes follows the testing partners’ policies, while maintaining the security and integrity of testing conditions. The Test Day Supervisor manages the test day.

Duties

1. Providing high quality services to test takers
2. Overseeing test day activities and functions to ensure processes and test rules and regulations are adhered to
3. Working on-site on test days, which includes weekends and may also include weekdays, to supervise the tests
4. Overseeing of the work of Invigilators and Examiners
5. Liaising with the Centre staff regarding testing administration
6. Adhering to policies and procedures as required by IDP IELTS Australia, Paragon Testing, and Global Village

7. Resolving test taker issues
8. Maintaining the security of test materials.
9. Trouble-shooting technical issues (specialized technical equipment, software, hardware, digital camera, etc.) with confidence.
10. Arranging set up (moving chairs/tables, tidying facility to optimize the appearance of the venue) and maintaining facility.

Skills & Experience Required: · Exceptional attention to detail





· Ability to remain focussed for extended periods of time

· Willing and able to follow established protocols and regulations, while instilling these standards in test day team members

· Strong customer focus

· Solid computer and technical skills (specialized technical equipment, digital camera, etc.)

· Solid English communication skills, both written and spoken

· Genuine interest, sensitive to people from other cultures

· Ability to prioritise and be flexible in a fast-paced and continually changing environment

· Well-developed time-management and organisational abilities

· Reliable and punctual

Preference will be given to candidates with previous IELTS/CELPIP admin and/or invigilation experience.

Other Requirements

The successful applicant will be required to successfully complete on-line training modules produced by IELTS Australia and/or Paragon Testing. The candidate must be available for a full-day schedule, which includes weekdays and weekends. Shifts can be daytime and/or evening. Test day shifts are between 3 and 8 hours and dependent on the number of test takers. Some lifting and standing required.
