Financial Analyst

Calgary, AB 18-Month Contract About the Opportunity Our client is seeking a Financial Reporting Analyst to join their Financial Reporting team.

Reporting to the Manager, Financial Reporting, this role will support the preparation and analysis of quarterly and annual financial reporting, including Management''s Discussion & Analysis (MD&A;), financial statement support schedules, and regulatory reporting requirements.

This is an excellent prospect for a detail-oriented CPA who enjoys working withplex financial data, collaborating across multiple business units, and contributing to the accuracy and integrity of external financial reporting.

Key Responsibilities Support the preparation and coordination of quarterly and annual MD&A; reporting.

Assist with preparing financial statement support schedules and related analysis.

Liaise with internal business units to gather, reconcile, and validate financial information.

Prepare working papers and documentation to support external audit requirements.

Assist with Pension Plan financial statements and Statistics Canada reporting.

Analyze financial data, accounting processes, and reporting requirements.

Develop, enhance, and maintain Excel-based models used for reporting andpliance.

Identify opportunities to improve reporting processes, controls, and efficiencies.

Participate in special projects and ad hoc financial analysis as required.





Qualifications Undergraduate degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline. CPA designation required.

Minimum 4 years of progressive accounting and financial reporting experience.

Strong knowledge of financial analysis, reporting, and accounting principles.

Advanced Excel skills with experience building and optimizing financial models.

Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Strongmunication and relationship-building skills with the ability to collaborate across teams.

Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail.

Nice to Have Knowledge of U.S. GAAP or other recognized accounting standards.

Experience with SAP, BPC, Workiva, Share

Point, Microsoft Teams, and/or Power BI.

Experience supporting external reporting, MD&A; preparation, or publicpany financial reporting.
