Office Office/Site only Company Siemens Energy Canada Limited Organization Gas Services Business Unit Distributed Full / Part time Full-time Experience Level Professional / Experienced A Snapshot of Your Day As a Production Scheduler, you will develop, maintain, and adjust daily, weekly, and short-term production schedules that support customer demand, optimize resource utilization, and drive on-time delivery.
You will work closely with manufacturing, supply chain, procurement, engineering, and customer service teams to align labor, materials, equipment, and priorities, while proactively identifying risks and coordinating timely corrective actions to keep production flowing efficiently.
How Youll Make an Impact Develop and maintain production schedules based on customer orders, forecasts, capacity, and material availability.
Sequence and release work orders to manufacturing to support efficient production flow, minimize changeovers, and balance resource utilization.
Monitor schedule execution and adjust plans in response to material shortages, equipment downtime, engineering changes, labor constraints, or shifting customer priorities.
Review work center loads and capacity constraints,
escalating risks and recommending actions to support delivery performance.
Track production progress, schedule attainment, backlog, and on-time delivery performance, and communicate status to stakeholders.
Maintain accurate planning and scheduling data in ERP/MRP systems and support continuous improvement initiatives to improve schedule stability and operational performance.
What You Bring Bachelors Operations Management, Industrial Engineering or a related field; equivalent experience may be considered.
Experience in production planning, scheduling, manufacturing coordination, or a related operations role.
Robust understanding of production flow, capacity planning, material availability, and the impact of schedule changes on delivery commitments.
Clear communication skills and the ability to collaborate with manufacturing, supply chain, procurement, engineering, and customer-facing teams.
Working knowledge of ERP/MRP systems and the ability to maintain accurate planning data for execution and reporting.
Analytical mindset with the ability to identify constraints, evaluate options, and recommend practical mitigation actions. A proactive, detail-oriented approach with continuous improvement mindset and commitment to reliable customer delivery.
