Percentage of work: 82% THE POSITION As a Psychoeducator, you will play an essential role in students'' educational journey by helping them overcome adaptation difficulties.
Your responsibilities will include carrying out prevention and screening activities, providing assistance and guidance, evaluating students'' adaptation difficulties and adaptive skills, and determining and implementing psychoeducational intervention plans.
Your goal will be to foster students'' optimal adaptation, restore and develop their adaptive skills, promote positive interaction with their environment, and encourage their autonomy.
You will also provide advice and support to school resources and parents, promoting a collaborative and caring approach.
RESPONSIBILITIES Participate in developing and implementing psychoeducational services that meet the academic and administrative requirements of the school board.
Work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team, teachers, and parents to develop and implement strategies and projects aimed at helping students experiencing or likely to experience social maladjustments, while providing assistance, advice, and support adapted to each situation.
Design, adapt, or prepare educational materials based on the needs and abilities of students experiencing social maladjustments.
Plan, organize, and conduct training activities for school staff, as well as group activities for students, to foster the development of desirable social behaviours and coping skills.
Assist in defusing crisis or emergency situations, when required, and propose appropriate solutions.
