Job Role: Senior Application Developer Duration: Months (Highly chance to extends) Location: Toronto, ON (- days in week onsite) Job Description: We are seeking a Senior Application Developer to join a high-impact enterprise applications team supporting critical university-wide systems.

This role will focus on the design, development, and enhancement of a large-scale administrative platform, working within a collaborative and fast-paced environment.

This is a hands-on, senior-level contract role requiring strong full-stack development experience, architectural thinking, and the ability to lead technical initiatives.

Key Responsibilities Design and develop complex, database-driven applications on a LAMP platform Build and maintain applications using PHP (Laravel), Java

Script, HTML, CSS Develop and optimize MySQL/PostgreSQL queries and database structures Architect and implement scalable, secure application solutions Write, test, and review high-quality, maintainable code Develop and maintain RESTful APIs for system integration Ensure application security,



including authentication and encryption practices Lead technical design discussions and contribute to architectural decisions Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to gather and translate business requirements Support project planning, timelines, and delivery milestones Required Qualifications Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience + years of experience in software development Strong expertise in PHP and Laravel (MVC frameworks) Solid front-end experience with Java

Script ( or React), HTML, CSS Experience with MySQL and/or PostgreSQL Proven experience building and consuming RESTful APIs Experience with Git/version control systems Strong understanding of application security best practices Experience with unit testing (, PHPUnit) Ability to troubleshoot and solve complex technical problems independently Strong communication and stakeholder management skills Nice-to-Have: Experience in enterprise or higher education environments Familiarity with Azure (preferred), AWS, or Google Cloud Experience with Azure Dev
