TRAFFIC CONTROL PERSON

GIP Pyramid Construction Ltd. is seeking a dependable and safety-conscious Traffic Controller to join our team for the construction season.

The Traffic Controller will be responsible for safely directing vehicle and pedestrian traffic in and around active construction zones while helping maintain a safe working environment for employees, contractors, and the public.

Responsibilities

- Direct and control traffic through and around active construction zones.
- Use appropriate signs, signals, and communication methods to safely guide motorists and pedestrians.
- Communicate effectively with equipment operators, supervisors, and other members of the site team.
- Assist with setting up, maintaining, and removing traffic-control signage and devices.
- Remain alert to changing site and traffic conditions throughout the workday.
- Follow all company safety procedures and applicable traffic-control regulations.
- Wear required PPE and maintain a professional presence when interacting with the public.
- Assist with other general site duties as required.

Qualifications





- Previous traffic-control or construction experience is considered an asset.
- Traffic-control certification is considered an asset.
- Strong awareness of workplace and public safety.
- Ability to remain attentive and focused for extended periods.
- Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work effectively as part of a team.
- Ability to follow instructions and communicate clearly with coworkers and the public.
