Our client is seeking an Intermediate Systems Administrator with Azure/AWS to support a large, globally distributed cloud infrastructure.

This role offers a balance of day-to-day operational support and project work, making it ideal for someone who enjoys both maintaining production environments and helping build modern infrastructure.

The successful candidate will work in a hybrid cloud environment spanning Microsoft Azure, AWS, and on-premises VMware infrastructure , supporting systems across multiple international location.

Location: Calgary-Based Team | % Remote Duration: 6 Months (with potential extension) Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8 hours/day, with versatile working hours to support multiple time zones Must Have: 4+ years of experience as a Systems Administrator supporting production environments. 3+ years of hands-on experience administering Microsoft Azure and AWS cloud environments.

Experience building, configuring, and deploying Windows servers.

Experience performing system maintenance, patching, backups, and general infrastructure administration.

Experience supporting production environments and resolving infrastructure-related incidents.

Experience working with VMware or other virtualization technologies.

Experience writing or maintaining automation scripts and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) .

Nice-to-Have:



Experience administering Linux servers (approximately 4050% of the environment).

Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform, Ansible, or similar.

Experience with Power

Shell, Bash, Python, or other scripting languages.

Microsoft Azure and/or AWS certifications.

Experience supporting geographically distributed enterprise environments.

Knowledge of hybrid cloud architectures.

Responsibilities: Provide day-to-day operational support for production systems and infrastructure.

Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve infrastructure-related incidents and service requests.

Build, configure, and deploy Windows and Linux servers.

Perform system administration tasks including patching, maintenance, backups, and upgrades.

Support Azure and AWS cloud environments.

Assist with VMware and on-premises infrastructure administration.

Participate in infrastructure projects, including server builds and environment configuration.

Help develop and improve Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and automation processes.

Create and maintain deployment scripts and automation tools.

Collaborate with infrastructure and support teams to maintain stable, secure, and scalable environments.

Support a globally distributed infrastructure across multiple international locations.
