YOUR PROJECT ASSIGNMENT TEICON ENGINEERING invites you to join a major industrial construction project in Fort Saskatchewan, Alberta, Canada .
Our client is investing more than USD 2 billion in the construction of a major clean hydrogen and atmospheric gases facility supporting Dow''s Path2Zero project.
As part of this development, you will support the construction of an Air Separation Unit (ASU) with a particular focus on mechanical and rotating equipment.
Start Date: October 5, 2026 Completion Date: December 31, 2027 , with the option to extend Workload: 48 hours per week as standard, with up to 56 hours per week depending on project requirements YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES You supervise mechanical construction and installation activities on site with a particular focus on rotating equipment and associated mechanical systems.
You monitor the installation, alignment and mechanical completion of rotating equipment and ensure that all work is carried out in accordance with approved drawings, specifications and project requirements.
You coordinate contractors, vendors and other disciplines on site to ensure the safe, efficient and timely execution of mechanical works.
You verify that mechanical and rotating equipment installations comply with applicable construction standards, manufacturer requirements, project specifications and quality procedures.
You monitor construction progress, identify technical or schedule-related issues and initiate appropriate corrective actions in coordination with the relevant project stakeholders.
You coordinate interfaces with piping, electrical, instrumentation, civil, structural and commissioning teams to ensure smooth execution of multidisciplinary construction activities.
You participate in inspections, mechanical completion activities, punch listing and the preparation of systems and equipment for commissioning and start-up.
You ensure that completed works are properly documented and support the preparation of regular construction and progress reports.
You ensure full compliance with project HSE requirements and actively promote a robust safety culture throughout all site activities. YOUR PROFILE You have several years of professional experience as a Mechanical Site Supervisor, Mechanical Construction Supervisor or in a comparable position on large-scale industrial construction projects.
You have extensive practical experience in the supervision and installation of rotating equipment such as compressors, pumps and other machinery used in process plants.
You have sound knowledge of mechanical installation, equipment alignment, mechanical completion and associated quality requirements.
You are familiar with international mechanical construction standards, project specifications, manufacturer requirements and safe work procedures.
You have experience coordinating contractors, vendors and multidisciplinary construction teams in an international project environment.
Experience with Air Separation Units, industrial gas plants, petrochemical facilities or comparable process plants is considered a strong advantage.
You communicate confidently in English and are comfortable working within an international project team.
You work in a structured, proactive and solution-oriented manner and are able to independently manage your area of responsibility on site. YOUR BENEFITS You will become part of a major long-term industrial project in Alberta with an assignment scheduled through December 2027 and an option to extend.
For NON-LOCAL PERSONNEL , defined as personnel whose original home residence is more than a 45-minute commute from the project site, we provide: You will receive an accommodation allowance of CAD 147 per calendar day while assigned to the project site.
You will receive a local transportation allowance of CAD 63 per calendar day while at the project location.
