Position Summary:
The Financial Specialist (GIS)is responsible forproviding financial oversight, forecasting,reportingand administrative coordination to support Geoportal operations and strategic initiatives. The role leadsbudgettracking, financial reconciliations, transactionmanagementand reporting activities while supporting procurement processes, vendorcoordinationand project delivery. As a key liaison with Corporate Finance, the position contributes to soundfinancial management, informeddecision-makingand the successful execution of Geoportal initiatives during a critical period of renewal and modernization.
What You Will Do:
Lead budget forecasting, financial planning, varianceanalysisandmonth-end reporting activities.
Monitor expenditures,commitmentsand project budgets to support financial accountability and effective resource management.
Manage invoice processing, financialreconciliationsand supporting documentation while ensuring compliance with corporate controls and audit requirements.
Partner with Corporate Finance to support forecasting,reportingandfinancial managementactivities.




Coordinate financial and administrative components of procurement initiatives, including RFP development, vendorinteractionsand contract administration.
Support project planning, budget tracking, deliverablemonitoringand program reporting activities.
Coordinate Geoportal training activities for internal and external users.
Identifyfinancial risks, investigatediscrepanciesand recommend process improvements to enhance operational efficiency.
Who You Are:
Financial acumen encompassing budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis,reconciliationsand reporting.
Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities with the ability toidentifytrends, assessrisksand support informed decision-making.
Knowledge of financial controls, procurement practices, contractadministrationand audit requirements.
Advancedproficiencyin Microsoft Excel and financial systems used to support reporting,planningand operational activities.
Ability to manage multiple priorities whilemaintainingaccuracy in a deadline-driven setting.
Strong communicationand relationship-management skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams and with external stakeholders.
Knowledge of project delivery, programcoordinationor technology-enabled environments.
CPA coursework, project managementtrainingor related professional development would be considered an asset.

We offer a competitive hiring range of $95,400 to $105,370 ( P4 level), pay will align with skills,knowledgeand experience of the candidate.
