Job Description Vortex Stratgie & recrutement is actively seeking for a Senior Talent acquisition partner - corporate functions for its client, a global organization with more than 130,000 employees worldwide.
The successful candidate will be a highly skilled talent acquisition leader responsible for building and leading recruitment activities for the head offices shared corporate services, including: Finance, Corporate Development, Marketing, Communications, Learning & Development (L&D;), and IT.
This newly created role requires a builder mindset, strong business acumen, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment aligned with a low-cost operating model.
The successful candidate will lead recruitment mandates ranging from management-level positions to Director, VP, and C-suite roles, including confidential searches related to succession planning as well as leadership positions for new business units (acquired or newly created).
They excel at proactively sourcing and headhunting passive talent, including for international mandates across North America, Europe, and other regions where our client operates.
The role also includes responsibility for onboarding and integration planning to ensure a seamless transition for new hires.
You will also coordinate with external recruitment firms engaged for various mandates.
Your Role and Responsibilities Strategic Talent Acquisition Lead end-to-end (full-cycle) recruitment for shared services: Finance, Corporate Development, Marketing, Communications, L&D;, and IT.
Proactively source and recruit passive talent across Canada, the United States, Europe, and other regions where the company operates.
Develop and maintain talent pipelines for critical roles to support growth, acquisitions, and the establishment of new business units.
Assess candidates with a robust understanding of the companys low-cost operating model and organizational priorities.
Executive Search and Confidential Mandates Manage confidential and politically sensitive leadership searches, including senior executive replacements.
Conduct market mapping and competitive intelligence at both local and international levels.
Advise senior leadership on candidate fit and talent availability.
Candidate Assessment and Advisory Conduct structured interviews and competency-based assessments for senior leadership and executive-level candidates.
Advise hiring managers on compensation expectations, talent availability, and market competitiveness.
Recommend salary ranges and compensation packages based on seniority, expertise, and geography.
Onboarding and Integration Design and coordinate onboarding and integration plans tailored to senior-level hires to ensure a seamless transition and organizational alignment.
Partner with HR to ensure smooth integration: documentation, setup, access/tools, follow-up, and ongoing support.
Internal Collaboration Collaborate closely with internal talent acquisition teams, leveraging their tools, sourcing capabilities,
and regional networks.
Work, as needed, with a select group of external executive search partners for specialized mandates or during periods of high recruitment volume.
Track and report recruitment metrics: time-to-fill, cost savings, quality of hire, etc.
Process Building & Continuous Improvement Build internal search processes, tools, and methodologies from the ground up.
Identify opportunities to optimize recruitment operations and reduce reliance on external agencies.
Develop strong internal capabilities aligned with the companys strategic priorities and a disciplined approach to cost management.
Requirements 7 or more years of experience in talent acquisition, including at least 3 years in executive search or direct sourcing/headhunting.
Demonstrated experience recruiting for leadership roles (Director, VP, C-suite).
Experience recruiting for corporate functions (Finance, Marketing/Communications, Corporate Development, IT, etc.).
Strong business acumen: ability to understand organizational structures, financial drivers, and operating models.
Proven ability to manage cross-border and international recruitment mandates.
Exceptional discretion and judgment when handling sensitive and confidential mandates.
Excellent communication and relationship-building skills with senior leaders.
Bilingualism (French and English) required.
