Responsibilities

- Safely operate heavy-duty trucks to transport goods over long or short distances, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in optimal condition for driving
- Load and unload cargo with care, including performing heavy lifting when necessary, to prevent damage and ensure proper handling
- Maintain accurate delivery documentation, including logs, manifests, and delivery receipts
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers, customers, and team members to coordinate schedules and resolve any issues promptly
- Follow all safety protocols during driving, loading, unloading,



and while on the road to ensure personal safety and that of others
- Assist with yard duties as needed, including vehicle maintenance checks and yard organization

Requirements

- Valid Class 5 driver’s license
- Proven experience in driving large trucks or commercial vehicles with a clean driving record
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently during loading or unloading processes
- Strong knowledge of traffic laws, safety regulations, and route planning
- Excellent communication skills for clear interactions with team members and clients
- Physical stamina to handle long hours on the road and perform manual tasks when required
- Flexibility to work varying shifts based on operational needs
