About the Role

We are seeking a detail‑oriented Undertakings Clerk to join our Barrie office. The ideal candidate is professional, organized, and eager to learn within a fast-paced legal workplace.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:

- Request transcripts and examinations for discovery transcripts
- Process invoices related to transcripts and examinations for discovery
- Send examination for discovery transcripts to clients
- Review transcripts and prepare undertaking charts
- Request plaintiff and defendant undertakings
- Receive plaintiff undertakings, coordinate scanning, obtain service instructions, and serve undertaking responses on counsel
- Receive and route defendant undertakings and seek lawyer instructions regarding motions, where necessary
- Provide counsel with updates on outstanding plaintiff undertakings
- Work closely with Law Clerks and Legal Assistants to ensure files continue to progress efficiently

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL POSSESS THE FOLLOWING ATTRIBUTES:

- 1 to 2 years of civil litigation experience is considered an asset
- Legal Assistant, Law Clerk, or Paralegal diploma




- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with excellent judgment and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to work accurately in a fast-paced and evolving environment
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Outlook, along with the ability to quickly learn new software applications
