Work Term: Permanent Work Language: English Hours: 40 hours per week Education: No degree, certificate or diploma Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years Tasks Interpret welding process specifications Operate manual or semi-automatic, fully automated welding equipment Read and interpret welding blueprints, drawings specifications, manuals and processes Examine welds and ensure that they meet standards and/or specifications Welding techniques Gas tungsten arc welding (GTAW) (TIG) Gas metal arc welding (GMAW) Flux core arc welding (FCAW) Area of specialization Custom fabrication Process piping Transportation/travel information Own transportation Public transportation is available Work conditions and physical capabilities Fast-paced environment Handling heavy loads Manual dexterity Attention to detail Hand-eye co-ordination Weight handling Up to 23 kg (50 lbs)
