The Senior Financial Analyst is a key player within the North American Sales Finance team, supporting and partnering with the Sales and related teams to profitably grow the businesses.
This role can be based out of either Florenceville-Bristol, New Brunswick OR Toronto, Ontario.
The primary responsibility is to bring strong financial and general business acumen and add value with a customer-centric focus. The role includes:
Thoroughly understanding key customers’ operations and how it impacts McCain’s current profitability and future growth opportunities
Analyze customer profitability, prepare margin analysis reports, and develop and present information in a format applicable to the target audience
Comprehensive Trade Spend management for customers (accruals, analysis and reporting)
Contributing to enhancing internal systems and processes and enable faster and higher-quality decision-making for Senior Leaders
Providing various ad-hoc data extraction, consolidation, re-organization and analysis to help the business understand trends, and assess performance from a ‘Volume-Price-Mix’ context
‘Stakeholder’ and ‘Ownership’ mentality is a must; you must feel that you are a major stakeholder in the business and ‘own’ the numbers (alongside your counterparts). High-quality work is expected; you should be proud of the work that you do for the business as you'll be a key player in the team
How You’ll Add Value:
Act as financial business partner to Sales and related teams supporting Customer and Product profitability via Sales, Trade and Cost-of-Sales analytics
Enjoys working hard and accepts challenges. Able to act and reach with speed even if limited information is available. Not afraid to take charge of a situation when challenges arise. Demonstrates curiosity and innovative approach to problem solving.
Drive research and analysis of key product drivers, trends and performance indicators
Support financial information reporting to provide accurate and timely financial recommendations to management for business-critical decision making
Build robust working relationships with business partners across the organization
Work on other assigned priorities and contribute to organizational development of the North American finance organization in support of our North American businesses
About You:
Bachelor’s Degree required (Business, Finance or Accounting) and CPA Designation preferred
Understanding of accounting and finance practices
CPG/FMCG experience, preferably in Sales Finance, strongly favored
Being a Self-starter and having an Entrepreneurial spirit is highly relevant in this role, where you'll be a significant contributor in shaping frameworks, streamlining processes and guiding/influencing others
Strong results and action-oriented mindset
Solid analytical and problem-solving skills
Ability to manage multiple priorities with a sense of urgency
Elevated collaboration skills
Agility in being able to work with different teams, particularly Sales and Marketing,
in addition to Finance counterparts and other functions as required
Compensation Package
$81,600.00 -$108,900.00 . CAD annually + Bonus Eligibility
