Our client is seeking a Senior Market Design Analyst to support the design and implementation of key components of Albertas restructured electricity market through market analysis, stakeholder engagement, and cross-functional collaboration. (Hybrid, Calgary) Must Have: 8+ years of experience working in electricity markets.

Masters degree in Economics, Engineering, Business, or a related discipline.

Understanding of Albertas current market framework and interest in changes introduced through the Restructured Energy Market.

Experience engaging with external stakeholders, including industry participants, government, and agencies.

Experience conducting independent research on economic, technical, and policy aspects of market design best practices across other jurisdictions.

Responsibilities Engage external stakeholders, including industry participants, government, and agencies, to develop and advance market design solutions.

Assess market design alternatives,



including economic efficiency, market impacts, stakeholder effects, and operational implications.

Conduct independent research on market design best practices across other jurisdictions.

Prepare and deliver transparent written and verbal materials, including memos, reports, presentations, and recommendations.

Collaborate with cross-functional experts to identify, document, and build alignment on market changes.

Ensure market design initiatives align with broader organizational programs, priorities, and transformation objectives.

Share subject matter expertise and insights across the organization.

Provide technical guidance and analytical support for market development activities.
