MUMPS Developer / M Programmer Location: Toronto, ON Work Model: Onsite Employment Type: Full time / Permanent (FTE) Job Summary We are seeking an experienced MUMPS Developer / M Programmer with strong hands-on experience developing, maintaining, enhancing, and supporting applications built using MUMPS (M Language) .

The ideal candidate will have strong programming and database skills, experience working with legacy enterprise applications, and the ability to troubleshoot and support business-critical systems.

Experience in Healthcare, BFSI, Government, or large enterprise environments is highly preferred.

Required Technical Skills Strong hands-on experience with MUMPS / M Programming Language .

Experience developing, maintaining, and enhancing MUMPS applications .

Strong understanding of MUMPS routines, globals, database structures, and application logic .

Experience with application development, debugging, troubleshooting, and production support.

Strong database and data management skills.

Experience working with legacy applications and enterprise systems .

Ability to analyze business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.

Experience with system integration, data migration, and application modernization.

Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Key Responsibilities Design, develop, test, maintain, and enhance applications using MUMPS / M Language .

Analyze business and technical requirements and translate them into effective technical solutions.

Develop, modify,



optimize, and maintain MUMPS routines and database structures .

Troubleshoot and resolve application issues across development, testing, and production environments.

Perform root cause analysis and implement permanent fixes for application and production issues.

Participate in code reviews and ensure adherence to coding standards and development best practices.

Support application modernization and system integration initiatives.

Assist with data migration, system upgrades, and application enhancement projects .

Develop technical design documentation, unit test cases, deployment documentation, and support documentation.

Collaborate with Business Analysts, Solution Architects, QA teams, Dev

Ops teams, and business stakeholders .

Provide production support for business-critical applications.

Perform application performance analysis and optimization.

Participate in technical design discussions and contribute to solution development.

Ensure applications meet quality, reliability, performance, and maintainability standards.

Preferred Qualifications Experience working in Healthcare, BFSI, Government, or Enterprise environments.

Experience supporting large-scale legacy applications.

Experience with application modernization and legacy system transformation.

Experience with system integration and enterprise application interfaces.

Experience working in Agile/Scrum development environments.
