Reporting to the Municipal Electrical Team Leader, the Electrical Technician is responsible for performing electrical wiring/assembly and periodic functional testing in order to meet customer quality and delivery expectations. This position is part of the Operations Team located in London, ON and will be onsite. In this role, you will:
Read and interpret electrical drawings and specifications to build various electrical control panels
Complete functional inspection of assemblies which includes wire power and control connections, configure customer specific settings.
Troubleshoot functional issues and determine corrective actions
Assist in defining test protocols and methods within all areas of manufacturing and their associated hardware/software
Complete and maintain test records as well as document and communicate non-conformances both internally and externally
Meet daily delivery targets
The essential requirements of the job include:
Electrical Technician Diploma or equivalent
Electrical/Electronic Technician or Technologist Diploma
1-2 years relevant manufacturing experience
Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics/diagrams
It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in: Experience with regulatory codes (UL508A, CSA, NEC and CE)
Strong problem-solving skills and troubleshooting abilities
