As a Red Seal certified Mechanic, you will:

Perform repairs and preventative maintenance on all City-owned and leased vehicles and equipment;

Conduct welding and fabrication work both in the shop and out in the field;

Support special projects and collaborate with other departments to ensure fleet readiness; and

Help keep Port Moody moving—safely and reliably.

As a Red Seal certified Mechanic, you will bring:

Minimum 3 years' experience as a Journeyman with Red Seal Interprovincial qualification as a Heavy Duty Mechanic or Commercial Transport Mechanic (Truck and Transport Mechanic) in the repair and maintenance of heavy-duty construction equipment,



heavy duty trucks, and machinery

Valid CVIP Inspector's certificate

Experience planning and directing a quality assurance program for a wide variety of municipal equipment

Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with a variety of internal and external contacts

Class 3 BC Driver's license with Air Endorsement

Emergency Vehicle Technician (EVT) Certification would be an asset

Working conditions, compensation & benefits:

This position typically works Monday to Friday from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, reporting to our Works Yard;

Your hourly rate ranges from$48.96 to $52.49(2026rate), which is inclusive of atemporary market adjustment (MA) of $3.00/hour. (Theregularhourly base rate is $45.96 to $49.49 without the MA amount);
