The Claims Examiner will be responsible for managing a diverse portfolio of claims, including complex files and matters involving litigation. This role offers exposure to a broad range of specialty products including Professional Lines, Environmental/Pollution, Construction, and Specialty Commercial Programs.
Key responsibilities include:




Manage and investigate first-party and third-party claims from intake through resolution
Review and assess reports provided by adjusters, legal counsel, and subject matter experts
Analyze policy coverages and interpret policy wording to determine appropriate recommendations and outcomes
Communicate claim developments and provide timely updates to underwriting teams and internal stakeholders
Handle litigation files and collaborate with legal counsel where required
Ensure claims are managed effectively while maintaining a high level of service and professionalism
Qualifications and Experience:
Minimum of 5 years of claims examining and/or claims adjusting experience
Licensed claims professional
Experience handling claims involving litigation
Strong understanding of policy interpretation and coverage analysis
Exposure to specialty lines is an asset
Strong investigative, analytical, and negotiation skills
Demonstrated ability to prioritize competing demands, solve problems, and perform effectively in a quick-paced environment
Strong customer service orientation with excellent verbal and written communication skills
Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
University or College education is preferred
