Overview Class 1 Driver

Frito Lay (a division of PepsiCo) has a current opening for a Licensed Class 1 Driver.

Schedule:
This positionwill be based out ofLethbridge, ABand will berequiredtoworkacombination of 2-day and 3-day over-the-road runsthrough Western Canadaeach week. The assigned runs will be dependent on current business needs.
Compensation: 39.90$/hr
Responsibilities Your responsibilities will include (but are not limited to):
Operate a tractor/trailer truck to make long-distance pick-ups and deliveries of our finished products.
Check and assist in the unloading of the trailer.
Fully inspect the vehicle prior to beginning the route to ensure proper and safe handling conditions.
Collect all proper authorizations prior to beginning route.
Maintainan accurateDOT log.
Ensure safety and complianceofload.
Regular and reliable attendance.
Completing Quality/Food Safety training and adhering to the Food Safety Pre Requisite Programs (PRP/oPRP) thatisrequiredfor your area.
Delivery of product to Frito Lay facilities and external customersin Western Canadawith single or Long Combination vehicles (LCV’s).




Offloadingtrailers withhandcarts orpalletizing casesat destination (average case weight is 4 kgs).
Travelling safelycomplying withFrito Lay Canada controls, Traffic Safety legislation, and Commercial Vehicle regulations.

Please note: the successful candidate for this role must be able to provide3-year cleandriversabstract, pass a criminal backgroundcheck,and complete afunctional assessment.
Qualifications Valid Class 1 Driver’s License.
2yearsClass 1 driving experience.
Good verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
Able to work independently with minimal supervision.
Strong attention to detail.
Able to maintain qualified disposition even when faced with difficult situations.
Able to complete routes safely in varied driving conditions.
