The Power Engineer role reports directly to the Shift Supervisor and involves safe, cost-efficient management of boiler turbine units and auxiliary equipment. Candidates should have a 2nd Class Power Engineer Certificate and three years of relevant experience. This position requires a robust emphasis on teamwork and adherence to safety regulations to ensure excellent environmental performance.
Key Responsibilities:
• Operate high-pressure boiler turbine units safely and efficiently
• Participate in required competency-based and regulatory training
• Uphold Occupational Health and Safety standards
• Support ISO 14001 initiatives for environmental performance
• Ensure compliance with NERC/NPCC reliability standards
Requirements:
• 2nd Class Power Engineer Certificate and 3 years experience
• Demonstrated problem resolution and teamwork skills
• Strong computer aptitude and multitasking abilities
• Ability to adapt to rescheduled tasks
• Must reside within 60 minutes of headquarters
