Join our dynamic team as a Vac Truck Operator, Water Truck Operator, and/or Swamper (the role will rotate between the three roles - as part of a 5-man crew), where you will play a vital role in supporting a gold mine projects through skilled heavy equipment operation and safety oversight. This energetic position offers the opportunity to work with well-maintained machinery, ensuring effective fluid transportation and site safety. Your expertise will help keep projects moving smoothly while maintaining high standards of safety and operational excellence.

Duties

- Operate vac trucks, water trucks, and auxiliary equipment to support mining activities.
- Assist with the setup and breakdown of work zones, including positioning hoses, valves, and safety barriers.
- Perform routine inspections of equipment to ensure optimal functioning and report any mechanical issues promptly
- Support heavy equipment operators during site operations
- Maintain a clean and organized work area around trucks and equipment to promote safety and efficiency
- Follow all safety protocols and procedures diligently to prevent accidents or injuries on-site




- Communicate effectively with team members to coordinate tasks and ensure smooth workflow throughout the project

Requirements

- Prior experience operating vac trucks, water trucks, or similar heavy equipment in construction or industrial settings
- Mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot basic issues with trucks and auxiliary equipment
- Ability to operate additional machinery such as loaders, backhoes, excavators, graders, or dozers - not necessary, but is an asset
- Valid driver’s license with a Q endorsement (air brakes) with a clean driving record for safe operation of large vehicles.
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions while maintaining focus on safety and quality standards
- Excellent teamwork skills with a proactive attitude toward learning new skills and supporting colleagues
