Job Title: UX/UI Front-End Engineer – React & TypeScript

Location: Toronto, ON

Work Model: Hybrid – 4 Days Onsite

Role Summary

We are seeking a UX/UI Front-End Engineer with strong expertise in React, TypeScript, UX/UI design, component design systems, and modern front-end development. The ideal candidate will combine user-centered design expertise with hands-on front-end engineering skills to build responsive, accessible, scalable, and high-performing web applications.

Key Responsibilities

- Design and develop user-centered, responsive, and interactive web interfaces using React and contemporary web technologies.

- Build reusable and scalable UI components and design systems.

- Develop and document components using Storybook.

- Implement state management and optimize front-end application performance.

- Collaborate with product managers, stakeholders, designers, and backend teams to translate requirements into functional user experiences.

- Create wireframes, prototypes, and UI designs using Figma, Adobe XD, Sketch, or similar tools.

- Apply UX/UI, user-centered design, design thinking, interaction design, and usability best practices.

- Conduct or support user research and usability testing to validate design decisions.





- Implement accessibility best practices and ensure WCAG compliance.

- Optimize applications for performance and cross-browser compatibility.

- Maintain design systems, component libraries, and front-end development standards.

- Document design specifications, reusable components, and development guidelines.

Required Qualifications

- 8+ years of experience in UX/UI design and front-end development.

- Strong hands-on experience with React and TypeScript.

- Experience with Redux, TanStack, state management, and front-end performance optimization.

- Strong experience building reusable components and design systems.

- Experience with Storybook for component development and documentation.

- Strong understanding of UX principles, user research, design thinking, wireframing, and prototyping.

- Proficiency with Figma, Adobe XD, Sketch, or similar design tools.

- Strong knowledge of HTML, CSS, responsive design, and accessibility/WCAG.

- Experience with Git/version control.

- Strong communication and collaboration skills.

- Portfolio demonstrating both UX design and front-end/UI development experience.
