Reports To Team Manager Summary The Laser Machine Operator is responsible for ensuring the safe, efficient operation, cleaning of and running adjustments for their assigned machine.

The position involves maintaining the prescribed quantity and quality of product produced as well as troubleshooting machine basic performance, making adjustments as able to and calling for additional resources when required.

Core Competencies Quality Orientation Time Management Creative and Innovative Thinking Problem Solving Accountability and Dependability Operating Equipment Ethics and Integrity Planning and Organizing Communication Teamwork Job Duties Set up, adjust and prepare the production run for the laser machine Ensure proper tooling is selected and adjusted according to specifications Set up and adjust material and machine parameters in preparation for optimal production run Locate and upload the proper program for the laser production run Monitor the laser cutting process to ensure optimal laser cutting conditions De-burr parts with grinder or file as necessary Maintain high production numbers for daily goals Produce product with an emphasis on quality Provide feedback and maintenance requests to improve machine performance Complete all assigned quality checks Participate in training and cross training,



improvement initiatives including health and safety and quality improvement Adhere to all workplace safety policies, compliances and regulations Use all required safety equipment e.g. steel-toed safety boots, safety glasses/googles, etc.

Requirements High School diploma, GED or equivalent Basic computer skills Experience as a laser machine operator preferred Ability to read and understand shop drawings Able to work as a functioning member of a team Robust work ethic Ability to work independently in a busy environment Physical ability to lift up to 50lb Experience with routine maintenance operations Highly flexible, with solid interpersonal skills that allow one to work effectively in a diverse working environment Able to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing Able to work well under pressure Strong attention to detail Working Conditions Safety equipment may be required, e.g. steel-toed safety boots, safety glasses/goggles, etc.
