On behalf of our client, we are actively looking for a Quality Assurance and Validation Manager for their facility in Oakville, ON.

Great opportunity to join afantastic organization! Summary: This position is responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining quality initiatives for all products and processes.

The role will focus on supplier quality (contract manufacturers as well as component suppliers) but will also have an internally facing responsibility to ensure that quality assurance and controls are in place.

This position is responsible for managing Quality Control, Quality Assurance and Validation team activities. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Develop, modify, coordinate, and document the implementation, evaluation and maintenance of quality assurance programs and systems.

Establish Quality Assurance (QA) objectives and create a plan of action.

Establish QA/Quality Control (QC) tools for measuring supplier and operational performance that affects the companys products and services.

Issue formal corrective actions (CARs) and work with them to resolve the problems.

Issue internal supplier Corrective and Preventative Actions (CAPA).

Provide advice and guidance in interpreting and adapting quality standards and government regulations.

Track and maintain production quality against quality standards.

Develop and direct strategies for continual product improvement.

Analyze design reliability and quality to recommend process changes and enhancements.

Interface with Engineering to ensure transfer to production of new products in accordance with appropriate quality and reliability standards.





Establish specifications and procedures for incoming and outgoing QC.

Interface with operations and engineering staff to ensure that parts, products, and processes are in compliance.

Analyze data effectively, summarize results, create reports, and use visual tools effectively.

Track action plans from internal and supplier audits and assessments and monitor their activity for completion and correctness.

Ensure validation team reviews welding documentation, vessel documentation, component certification, and engineering documentation.

Ensure the assembly of physical documentation binders and electronic turnover package based on the URS (User Requirement Specifications).

Ensure the assembly of factory acceptance test protocols based oncompany testing standards and client requirements.

Ensure the performance factory acceptance testing on finished process systems. QUALIFICATIONS: University Degree in Engineering or related field of study required.

Minimum of 5 years Quality Management leadership experience in a manufacturing or production environment.

Experience managing in an ISO9001 environment.

Understand standard quality metrics, MTBF calculations and DoD quality requirements.

Demonstrates initiative and ability to interact with a variety of engineering disciplines and production teams.

Strong documentation skills and proficient with MS office applications.

Effective problem solving, root cause analytical skills to lead and influence others to drive change.

Demonstrates strong written and verbal communication skills, including customer presentation expertise.

Some overtime may be required
