Excavator Operator - Up to $32/HR Join SAVARD Personnel Group - where your skills are valued! We are seeking an experienced and safety-conscious Licensed Excavator Operator to join our operations team.

The successful candidate will operate hydraulic excavators to sort, load, move, and process waste, recyclable materials, and construction debris in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities Safely operate hydraulic excavators of various sizes.

Load transfer trailers, roll-off bins, and dump trucks.

Perform excavation, demolition, grading, sorting, and material handling.

Complete daily equipment inspections and safety checklists.

Perform routine maintenance including greasing, cleaning, and fluid checks.

Identify and report equipment issues or deficiencies.

Follow site plans, work orders, and supervisor instructions.

Complete equipment logs and required operational reports.

Qualifications Valid Excavator Operator License or recognized Heavy Equipment Operator certification. 23 years of excavator operating experience.

Experience in waste management, construction, demolition, recycling, or excavation preferred.

Experience operating different sizes of hydraulic excavators.





Strong understanding of safe heavy equipment operation.

Ability to read site plans, work orders, and equipment manuals.

Solid mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.

Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Reliable, punctual, and safety-focused.

Waste transfer station or recycling facility experience.

Loader, skid steer, or other heavy equipment experience.

Valid Ontario Class G Drivers Licence; DZ is an asset.

Working at Heights, WHMIS, or First Aid certification.

Physical & Working Conditions Indoor and outdoor work in varying weather conditions.

Comfortable working around dust, noise, mud, and uneven terrain.

Ability to sit for extended periods while operating equipment.

Ability to climb on and off heavy equipment throughout the shift.

Ability to lift up to 50 lbs when required. PPE required at all times.
