Contribute to innovative research at UBC's Department of Zoology as a part-time Research Assistant. Engage in the study of large mammals and their behaviors in a supportive lab environment.

This role at the Gaynor Lab is perfect for individuals with a background in ecology and data science. You will assist with managing research databases, conduct literature reviews, and maintain lab organization. This position involves training undergraduates and offers the opportunity to enhance your skills in experimental design and animal behavior.

Key Responsibilities:
• Organize physical and digital lab resources
• Manage research databases and data quality control
• Conduct literature reviews for lab projects
• Order supplies and maintain lab inventories
• Develop and update safety protocols and expense reports

Requirements:
• High school graduation with two years related experience
• Familiarity with camera trap data preferred
• Robust knowledge in African savanna ecology
• R programming language skills considered an asset
• Ability to multitask and meet deadlines
