WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:

We are looking for a full time Receptionist / Veterinary Assistant.

Duties Include

- Greeting clients and their pets with a friendly and welcoming demeanor
- Answer phone calls, schedule appointments, and manage the front desk
- Assist with client check-ins and check-outs, weighing pets.
- Maintain accurate electronic medical records and files
- Handle client inquiries, provide information on services, and relay messages to the veterinary team
- Coordinate communication between clients and veterinary staff
- Keep the reception area clean and organized
- Assisting other professionals (Veterinary Technicians and Veterinarians) by providing restraint of patients for sample collection and preparation for surgical procedures, assisting with preparing the medical materials, cleaning instruments/materials and the clinical space, helping with invoicing/medical recording, preparing medications and other tasks associated with the position.
- This position will be interacting with clients and other staff members including veterinarians.

We are looking for:

- Bilingual (French/English) Mandatory if no veterinary experience
- Excellent patient care and client/customer service/people skills
- Avimark knowledge is an asset
- 1 year experience or more would be preferable
- We will train and guide the right person who is interested in this as a career.
