Axis Collective is a creative and digital communications agency working with political campaigns, public figures, unions, advocacy organizations and commercial clients.

We are looking for an experienced Video Editor capable of producing high-quality political and commercial advertisements.

This is not an entry-level role. You should be able to turn raw footage, interviews, speeches and b-roll into polished, skilled ads with strong storytelling, pacing and emotional impact.

Responsibilities

- Edit political and commercial advertisements
- Build strong narratives from raw footage
- Add music, sound design, captions and graphics
- Complete colour correction and audio cleanup
- Create short-form cutdowns for social media and digital ads
- Work from scripts, creative briefs and campaign messaging
- Complete revisions and meet tight deadlines

Requirements
- Strong professional video editing portfolio




- Experience with Adobe Premiere Pro or DaVinci Resolve
- Experience with Adobe After Effects for motion graphics
- Knowledge of Photoshop, Illustrator and/or Adobe Audition is an asset
- Strong understanding of storytelling, pacing, colour and sound
- Ability to work with LOG footage, professional audio and large project files
- Experience with political, commercial, advocacy or branded content is an asset
