About Us The Division of Housing and Ancillary Services is committed to providing a higher standard of excellence in the areas of Housing, Hospitality Services and Retail Services. Each of these functional areas work together in synergy to provide an exceptional experience for the entire Western community including students, staff, faculties and visitors—all while supporting the academic mission of the University.
Responsibilities The Driver will be responsible for delivering and picking up goods for Hospitality Services stakeholders including Campus Eateries, Residence Dining, and Great Hall Catering and Conference Services as needed, ensuring orders/packages are delivered in a timely fashion. The Driver will also transfer goods to and from Hospitality Service Production Centre operations as requested. During the summer months, the Driver will assist with delivering and picking up goods for Western Retail Services’ (WRS), including events such as exams, convocation, conferences and other logistical needs. The driver will ensure customer orders/packages are delivered in a timely fashion and will transfer goods to and from HAS operations as requested.
Qualifications Education:
High School Diploma
Experience:
1 year related experience
Courier experience would be an asset
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Ability to understand customer needs and expectations and provide excellent customer service directly and indirectly to satisfy expectations
Strong customer service skills to handle enquiries and resolve issues in a professional and timely manner
Positive, outgoing attitude with genuine customer service orientation
Strong client focus and a desire to achieve results is essential
Strong attention to detail and proofreading abilities with an excellent command of the English language
Ability to work within a flexible schedule to accommodate the operations events and activities
Flexibility to work outside of regular business hours
Ability to perform duties in a professional and courteous manner and produce high quality work while meeting deadlines
Ability to lift/carry up to a maximum of 65lbs or 29.4kg
Valid Glass G Driver’s License
