*West Coast Catering*, Established in 2019 in Kincardine, Ontario has become the largest Food Supplier in the Grey Bruce Area. State of the art kitchen designed to maximize productivity. With 300 meals produced daily, we are looking to add the right candidate to fulfill our food preperations & Take Out ordersWorking along side a well oiled team, the succesful cadidate will report to the Ownership & will be able to count on the expertly trained staff to be successful in its role. With a large team in place already managed by a team of supervisor, the KM will add its touch to the daily operation to improve it processes and help increase productivity along with daily targets.The Sous-Chef Responsibilities include but it not limited to, supervising the food preparation and cooking, maintaining a fully-stocked kitchen inventory and complying with safety and cleanliness standards. To be successful in this role, you should be able to manage our kitchen staff and guide them to deliver quality food on time following the standard recipes developed.Ultimately, you will ensure all plates are properly cooked and served and our customers have a pleasant dining experience.*Responsibilities*

- Manage kitchen staff and coordinate food orders
- Supervise food prep and cooking
- Maintaining recipes
- Accurately preparing recipes & Maintaining par levels
- Check food preparation and temperature
- Establish portion sizes
- Schedule kitchen staff shifts using labour guide
- Order food supplies and kitchen equipment, as needed
- Train kitchen staff on prep work and food plating techniques
- Store food products in compliance with safety practices (e.g. in refrigerators)
- Keep weekly and monthly cost reports




- Maintain sanitation and safety standards in the kitchen area

*Requirements*
- Proven work experience as a solid kitchen leader
- Hands-on experience with executing menus and ordering ingredients
- Able to develop recipes with head office
- Strong Knowledge of basic cooking techniques.
- Strong knowledge with kitchen sanitation and safety regulations
- Excellent organizational skills
- Conflict management abilities
- Ability to manage a team in a fast-paced work environment
- Flexibility to work during evenings and weekends
- Certification from a culinary school or degree in Restaurant Management is a plus
