Building Services Technician - JLL
What this job involves:
As a Building Services Technician at JLL, you will play a vital role in maintaining the operational excellence of our client's facility at Mapleview. This hands-on position focuses on ensuring that all building systems function efficiently and reliably, directly contributing to a safe, comfortable, and productive environment for occupants. You will be part of a dedicated team committed to delivering exceptional service and upholding JLL's standards of excellence in facility management.
What your day-to-day will look like:
Perform routine preventive maintenance and inspections on HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems

Respond promptly to service requests and troubleshoot building equipment issues to minimize downtime

Conduct regular facility walkthroughs to identify and address maintenance needs proactively

Maintain accurate records of work performed, including service logs and maintenance reports

Coordinate with vendors and contractors for specialized repairs and equipment servicing

Ensure compliance with all safety protocols, building codes, and environmental regulations





Support emergency response procedures and participate in on-call rotations as needed

Required Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent; technical or trade school certification preferred

Minimum 2-3 years of experience in building maintenance, facilities management, or a related field

Working knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems

Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals

Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills with attention to detail

Valid driver's license and reliable transportation

Ability to work afternoon and evening shifts, Tuesday to Saturday

Preferred Qualifications:
HVAC certification or equivalent trade certification

Experience with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS)

Basic knowledge of Building Automation Systems (BAS)

Familiarity with OSHA safety standards and workplace safety practices

Customer service experience in a commercial or corporate environment

Estimated compensation for this position:
55,000.00 - 63,000.00 CAD per year
This range represents the estimated base salary and actual compensation may differ. Final base salary is determined by various considerations including but not limited to candidate qualifications, location, market conditions, and internal considerations. Some roles and employees may be eligible for discretionary bonuses, benefits, or other compensation.
