Following The Guild's Governance Manual, The Bookkeeper Will

- Record daily financial transactions
- Maintain accurate bookkeeping records
- Manage accounts payable (money owed to suppliers)
- Manage accounts receivable (money owed by the membership)
- Prepare and issue invoices
- Process payments and receipts
- Reconcile bank statements with company records
- Maintain the general ledger
- Track business expenses
- Prepare financial reports, budgets and summaries with the Treasurer
- Monitor cash flow and account balances
- Calculate and record sales taxes, GST
- Prepare records for accountants and auditors




- Ensure compliance with financial policies and regulations
- Track inventory-related financial and petty cash record transactions
- Identify and report discrepancies or errors in financial records

Skills Required Bookkeeping experience required. Knowledge of QuickBooks Online and experience accounting for a non-profit would be an asset. The Bookkeeper works with the Guild's treasurer and website designer. Orientation and training provided. Skills Gained/Related Careers: Age: 18-30, 31-54, 55+ Time Commitment:
