Vulnerability Management Analyst (AI Training)

About The Role

We partner with the world's leading AI research teams and labs to build and train cutting-edge AI models — and we need security practitioners who know how vulnerability management actually works in the real world.

This isn't a theoretical exercise. You'll work with realistic CVEs, exposure scenarios, and remediation workflows to help AI systems reason about security the way experienced analysts do. Your hands-on expertise becomes the foundation for smarter, more reliable AI in cybersecurity.

- Organization: Alignerr
- Type: Hourly Contract
- Location: Remote
- Commitment: 10–40 hours/week

What You'll Do

- Analyze vulnerability reports, CVEs, and exposure scenarios across infrastructure and application environments
- Classify severity, exploitability, and business impact using real-world risk frameworks
- Evaluate patching, mitigation, and remediation decision-making scenarios for accuracy and quality
- Generate, label, and validate security-reasoning data used to train and evaluate AI systems
- Review AI-generated security analysis outputs and provide structured, expert feedback

Who You Are

- 2+ years of experience in vulnerability management, security operations, or infrastructure security
- Familiar with CVEs, vulnerability scanners, patching workflows, and risk prioritization frameworks (CVSS, EPSS, SSVC, etc.)
- You understand the gap between theoretical risk scores and what actually needs to be fixed in production
- A clear, structured, and analytical thinker who can document reasoning precisely
- Comfortable working independently and asynchronously on task-based assignments

Nice to Have

- Experience with tools like Tenable, Qualys, Rapid7, or Wiz
- Familiarity with cloud, container, or hybrid infrastructure environments
- Background in threat intelligence or exposure management
- Prior experience contributing to AI training or evaluation projects

Why Join Us

- Work directly on frontier AI systems alongside top research labs
- Fully remote and adaptable — work on your own schedule
- Freelance perks: autonomy, variety, and global collaboration
- Your real-world security expertise shapes how AI understands and responds to risk
- Potential for ongoing work and contract extension
