**What are your contributions to the team?**
**1.
Design Integration & Layout Development**
Develop and review structural and systems installation layouts, including 3D models and 2D drawings
Support definition of interfaces, routing, and installation concepts across the airframe
Contribute to integration solutions ensuring compatibility, maintainability, and performance
Participate in trade-off studies (weight, cost, manufacturability)
**2.
Cross-functional Collaboration**
Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams: stress, systems, interiors, aerodynamics, thermodynamics, and mass properties
Support coordination with suppliers and partners to ensure design alignment
Interface with manufacturing and operations teams
**3.
Design Development & Problem Solving**
Review detail design (sheet metal, machined parts, systems installations, assemblies)
Provide technical solutions to resolve design, integration, or manufacturing issues
Support shop floor and in-service issue resolution as required
Contribute to Design for Manufacturing and Design for Assembly
**4.
Change & Configuration Management**
Manage engineering changes through the full configuration control lifecycle
Provide input to impact assessments (technical, cost, schedule, risks)
Ensure design data integrity within PLM systems (ENOVIA / Teamcenter)
**5.
Weight & Performance Optimization**
Support weight management initiatives and identify weight-saving opportunities
Contribute to performance improvement and optimization activities
**6.
Program Execution & Reporting**
Provide regular status updates to project and functional leadership
Support design reviews and program milestones with internal and external stakeholders
Participate in risk identification and mitigation activities
**How to thrive in this role?**
**Skills, Knowledge & Experience**
Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering (or related discipline).
A technologist degree will be considered depending on the candidate’s experience.
Typically 5+ years of relevant experience in aerospace or related industry
**Technical Competencies**
You demonstrate solid knowledge of: Aircraft structures and/or systems installation and integration
Configuration development and preliminary sizing
Detailed design (sheet metal,
machined parts, piping, assemblies)
Design for manufacturing and assembly principles
Aerospace materials, processes, and design standards
Weight control fundamentals
Certification principles and airworthiness requirements
**Tools & Methods**
Proficiency in CATIA V5, ENOVIA, and MS Office
Familiarity with PLM systems and configuration control processes
Knowledge of NX / Teamcenter (asset)
**Operational Understanding**
Understanding of aircraft system interfaces and installation constraints
Awareness of manufacturing processes and production environments
Exposure to in-service operations or support activities (asset)
**Soft Skills**
Strong teamwork and collaboration mindset
Effective communication skills with technical and non-technical stakeholders
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
Solid problem-solving and analytical skills
Ability to work with autonomy while contributing to team objectives
**Languages**
Fluent in French & English (mandatory)
