Lead impactful communication strategies as the Supervisor of Communications at Parkland County. This full time role emphasizes public engagement, strategy implementation, and team leadership.
In this permanent position reporting to the Director of Communications & Customer Service, you will develop and oversee communication efforts for Parkland County. Your responsibilities include supervising staff, managing public engagement strategies, and ensuring effective communication support across internal departments. You will be integral in producing materials and resources that enhance community connections.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop and implement communications strategies and public engagement plans
• Supervise Communication Services staff and support their development
• Coordinate strategic management of emergent communication issues
• Implement and monitor communication materials and initiatives
• Provide internal support in communications planning and execution
Requirements:
• Degree or Diploma in Communications or related field
• 5+ years of communications experience, 3+ in the public sector
• Excellent interpersonal and media relations skills
• Proficient in MS Office and editing tools
• Valid class 5 driver’s license and Criminal Record Check
