Agilus by Synergie is recruiting for a Purchaser in the construction sector in Edmonton, Alberta. Based in Edmonton, Alberta, this role reports directly to the Purchasing Manager and plays an integral part in ensuring materials, equipment, and documentation are processed accurately and efficiently.

Location: SW Edmonton
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM in office
A typical day: Source, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers to secure competitive pricing, quality, and delivery terms
Coordinate the timely procurement and delivery of materials and equipment to support project schedules
Process invoices through accurate three-way matching and documentation review
Reconcile packing slips, receipts, vendor statements, and supporting documentation
Maintain procurement records, filing systems, and purchasing documentation in an organized manner
Investigate and resolve invoice discrepancies in collaboration with vendors and Accounts Payable
Support month-end activities, including accruals, reconciliations, and reporting requirements
Enter and maintain accurate purchasing and receiving information within company systems
Successful candidates will have: 1-3 years of purchasing, procurement, or supply chain experience
Diploma or degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field
Working experience with Vista/Viewpoint and Coupa
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and strong proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite
Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
Effective communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills
Solid understanding of construction materials, tools, and equipment
Ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
