Maintenance Manager

Pratts Food Service

Pratts Food Service is seeking an experienced and dependable Maintenance Manager to lead our maintenance operations. This position is responsible for ensuring our facility, equipment, and building systems are maintained safely, efficiently, and reliably to support day-to-day operations.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead, supervise, and coordinate the maintenance team and daily maintenance activities.
- Develop and manage preventive and predictive maintenance programs for facility and operational equipment.
- Prioritize maintenance requests, repairs, inspections, and planned maintenance to minimize downtime.
- Troubleshoot equipment and facility issues and ensure repairs are completed effectively and in a timely manner.
- Oversee building systems, including electrical, plumbing, HVAC, refrigeration, dock equipment, and other facility infrastructure.
- Coordinate and oversee external contractors, service providers, and vendors.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records, service schedules, equipment histories, and required documentation.
- Monitor spare parts, tools, and maintenance supplies and ensure appropriate inventory levels are maintained.
- Support workplace safety programs and ensure maintenance work is completed in accordance with applicable safety requirements, policies, and procedures.
- Identify opportunities to improve equipment reliability, reduce downtime, control maintenance costs, and increase operational efficiency.
- Assist with maintenance budgets, purchasing, equipment replacement, and capital improvement projects.




- Work closely with Operations and other departments to schedule maintenance while minimizing disruption to the business.
- Respond to urgent equipment and facility issues as required.
- Promote a clean, organized, safe, and professional maintenance environment.

Qualifications
- Previous maintenance leadership or supervisory experience, preferably in a warehouse, distribution, food service, manufacturing, or similar environment.
- Robust mechanical and technical troubleshooting abilities.
- Working knowledge of facility systems and industrial equipment.
- Experience developing and managing preventive maintenance programs.
- Solid leadership, organization, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced operational environment.
- Strong commitment to workplace safety, equipment reliability, and continuous improvement.
- Relevant trade certification, technical training, or equivalent hands-on experience is considered an asset.
