Insight Global is looking for an experienced Project Manager for a 12 month contract in Edmonton.
The Project Manager will be responsible for leading a portfolio of utility and construction projects from inception through closeout, ensuring successful delivery across scope, schedule, budget, safety, quality, procurement, regulatory compliance, and stakeholder management.
The successful candidate will work closely with engineering, project controls, contractors, and construction crews to safely execute projects while maintaining alignment with organizational standards and project management best practices.

Skills and Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, or a relevant technical diploma/certificate combined with 10+ years of related experience
- 5-7+ years of Project Management experience, preferably within construction or utility environments
- Proven experience managing projects through the full lifecycle, from initiation to closeout
- Strong knowledge of project budgeting, forecasting, scheduling, and change management processes
- Experience supporting and enforcing Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) requirements and safe work practices
- Experience coordinating cross-functional teams including engineering, construction, project controls, and contractors
- Knowledge of utility construction within energized substations and associated safety hazards
- Experience with contract management, procurement, tendering, and vendor negotiations
- Understanding of project permitting, environmental assessments, and stakeholder engagement
- Solid knowledge of Project Management methodologies and project delivery processes - Project Management Professional (PMP) designation
- Experience working with electrical utility infrastructure projects
- Knowledge of Alberta Electric System Operator (AESO) project lifecycle processes
- Experience leading Request for Proposal (RFP) development and evaluation activities
- Background in major equipment procurement and construction services contracting
- Experience with regulatory compliance and records/document management systems
- Previous experience conducting field kick-offs, project walkdowns, and construction HSE inspections
